Everyone has a favorite film and to each his or her own has been around for awhile, but why is this so?? Why is your favorite film, not my favorite film, and why do each of us as people like things differently. Some of us like comedies, others horror, some of us are dramatics, while others search for truths in documentaries. Why do some us believe so willingly to movies and others see right through it??? Why oh why is the question?? Let’s debate this.
Hello, I’m Brett Chatelain and welcome to my website where I will be sharing my old and new videos as well as communicating with you the public to see what I can do to be better.
Hey All,
I used to write weekly blogs for a website that I co-write with four other guys, called A Much Cooler Version, and after picking up 2 more writers, so that we each have a day of the week, I decided to drop Sports out of the rotation of Music, Gaming, Web, Film, and decided to do it here on my personal site and what could be more personal than a sports team, example I once told a guy, F@#k your team, (Broncos), and he looked at me and said you could tell me F%$k yourself or your momma, but not my team(Broncos), now he was half serious, but it shows you the passion that sports have on just the fans, imagine the players, imagine this for a lifetime. That could be describing the passion between Los Angeles and Boston.
The 2010 NBA Finals were exactly what it should have been, a hard fought 7 game series, with an all out, on the line, 1 game battle that took place last night in fact, in Los Angeles, that is only slightly bruised from rowdy fans of the Lakers destroying stuff to be happy?? (LAPD Suggestion, put dummy cars out in the streets next year when it happens again, and let the crowds beat down on older cars that they are going to do anyway). Back to the Game 7 that was on hand, man oh man was it an ugly Offensive game, but fantastic Defensive game, I mean the overall outcome the Lakers won, whew cuz if not then we could look at the Lakers missing 56 shots, what?? yes, they missed 56 shots, but got 23 offensive rebounds, and overall out rebounding the Celtics, 53-40. So both the Lakers and Celtics had to battle for points and fight for every loose ball last night, that the half time score looked like it could have been a football score, 40-34. I mean it was just an all out defensive assault on both sides, though it did also look like people were getting their normal shots, but were either too tight or shot it too quickly, I think the fact that it was a GAME 7 Definitely had something to do with it.
The players of the game in my opinion were the starters of Los Angeles Lakers minus Bynum, though he does get a nod for putting up 19 minutes with 4 offensive boards. Kobe Bryant is going to be Kobe, wait what he wasn’t oh, wait he got 23 points, but was 6-24, but he made 11-15 free throws, and grabbed 15 rebounds, mostly from Rondo on defensive end, and took over at the end of the game closing it out, nuf said. Player of the Game for real, Ron Artest, wait what? Yes, Ron Artest, let me say it again, killed Boston last night personally, with his baskets here and there and shutdown defense. Let’s start off the Ron-Ron play by play, opening tip gets the ball, interesting fact. Ron then misses both shots he takes, but gets an assist, a steal, and offensive foul on K.G., Paul Pierce 2 points. Second quarter Ron’s on it, he gets 12 points in the quarter, 6 in 3 minutes, and was 3 of 4 from the free throw line where he is normally a little shaky, and got a double technical with Pierce who had 9 points in the quarter. The third quarter Ron upped his defensive aspects a bit getting a couple of steals, and limiting Pierce to 3 points, but got called for an offensive foul, and missed two threes. The fourth quarter, Ron did three things great, he attacked Pierce and held him to 4 points and hit three big shots when the Lakers needed him. First, with Pau Gasol in the low post and seeing a double team Ron runs to the open lane and gets a wide open shot, and draws and AND 1. Second shot is when Ron makes the free throw it ties the game at 61-61 and the Staples Center crowd goes nuts, feeling the adrenaline of climbing back a couple of times from 11 point deficits. The third shot comes with a minute left and Kobe passing the ball to Ron who sinks the 3 and makes it a 6 point lead. Final score on RON-RON he’s got 20 points and, YES the trade for Trevor Ariza was definitely worth it. Ron’s defensive presence and points are what won Game 7 and the post game comments were like he won the Oscars, hilarious, but genuine. Hopefully the Ron for Ariza thing will die now that Ron helped the Lakers, MORE than Ariza did in last year’s playoffs. Derek Fisher what can you say but clutch, no Offensive foul draws from Flipper,(cuz he’s cute and shiny, and he falls like he’s in water, smoothest of them all), but he did make two clutch 3′s, one to open the game and one to tie the game at 69, and had one of the few high shot percentages in the game. Pau Gasol he did his thing by pounding the glass and getting key baskets down the stretch, he finished with 19 points and 18 rebounds. That is your Los Angeles Lakers starting five that also started the season minus Lamar Odom for Gasol, who btw did also pretty well last night with 7 points and 7 rebounds. CONGRATS LAKERS, HA HA HA HA TO ALL THE HATERS OUT THERE. ( I have a theory on that and will discuss it all with you next blog, WHY HATE?)
The Lakers won the game, YES, and the Championship and in doing so probably reassured us Laker fans that Phil Jackson should be back and that with Bynum having his knee surgery soon and everyone else relatively healthy the Lakers look poised to win a third championship in a row, which would be the Second Three-peat of both Kobe and Fisher, but the Fourth of Phil’s, hmm. I think that its really hard to say No to that, Phil, and with the fact to get an even 12, a dozen rings, one more than the great Bill Russell, who has the best laugh ever, really hard to say no, just saying, right?? Also what will this offseason bring, do the Lakers stay the same or we lose Phil, or do we keep Phil, then who stays and who goes, we all know that we have our core nucleus of guys who have contracts but others that don’t and there’s always the possibility of trades, one thing, the Lakers will be defending the Title either way.
Till next time.

Hello there,
Welcome to my wordpress site, where as you may already see I don’t have a top notch site like the one’s we are going to talk about today. So what makes a top site, is it the information that is good, or the layout, or the links to other sites, is it the pictures and videos that are posted, well it’s all of it basically. I mean you could have the best content or topic to be talking about, but if your design and color scheme make people think it’s hideous or just want to switch from your page, that’s a problem. Another problem is that all of the information that is on the site has no fluid design or flow to it, you jump from Music to NASCAR to political ideas all on the same page, which could work, but each topic or genre should have it’s own page, or section. The third problem is that the navigation on the site must be fluid and easy, but also right in your face, you should have it say your title or topic in bold type, or a different color, something to make it stand out, and then you also have to incorporate other sites into your site, or have links to other people who contribute to your site, or your own other sites that you want to promote.
So what I found from looking over another blogger’s site that had the best of WordPress sites, Click Here, was that they had everything looking Not like an ordinary WordPress site, and also they all had a certain style within their respective blogs and sites. All of the sites had different areas that they were featured for, but they all had great sites, everything was right there for you, and all of them were easy to navigate, and any other items or things that they wanted to let you know about were easy to find. I also liked how diverse the different sites were, and no one looked the same as the next, and each one had little things that separated them from each other. What I really liked about all of the different sites, was how the design layout gave each site it’s character, and how each site was appealing to the eye. Here are some of the sites below that you can directly link to, and see what I’m really talking about. The one last thing that really stood out with these various sites was the creativity within the site and all of the different creations that the various creators made on their sites such as boxes with links, or icons that they created, or what not. So if this sounds at all interesting check out the above link to the blog that hosted these various sites, or you can check out these sites that I thought were pretty cool. Also if you think your site is cool enough check out this best of WordPress 2009 site.
Also check out the first link in the article for the direct connect to the best of page.

For those of you who feel like I do, who absolutely love the fact that USC got busted let’s quickly rejoice. Now let’s stop the rejoicing and let’s look at this from an overall standpoint and the fallout that SHOULD ensue. USC gives up half of their wins from 2004, and all of their wins from 2005 which includes their 2004 BCS National Championship, both Pac-10 titles, and Reggie Bush’s Heisman trophy. So it sounds all simple but let’s look at this in more detail, USC is taken out of half the season in 2004, which means that they give up their BCS Championship from 2004 and perfect season, they give the Pac-10 title to California, and Oklahoma wins the BCS Championship. In 2005 they lose to Texas in the BCS Championship which doesn’t change since they lost anyways, but Reggie Bush’s Heisman trophy gets stripped from him and goes to second place, Vince Young, and UCLA and Oregon tie for the Pac-10 title.
So USC for sure gets a two year postseason ban which is millions in loss to them, and they lose scholarships for their program, and they have to just move on, I would think they are definitely going to have a hard time getting recruits for the next two years because of the lack of a potential title or bowl win. Who wants to play for a team that has a definite end schedule and has to watch almost every other decent team play in a bowl game, I expect to see a recruit fallout, but people do stupid things.
The biggest problem here is that the college gets busted but the player and coaches don’t have any consequences, I mean Reggie Bush just won a Super Bowl ring, and Pete Carroll has a job in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks, what will happen to them, Reggie MAY get the Heisman taken away, and Carroll only has fewer wins on his resume.
This isn’t the first time that something like this has happened at a college and the person responsible is not around to blame, look at Rick Neuheisel, who was coach at Colorado and then went to Washington, or John Calipari who went from Memphis to Kentucky while Memphis got slapped with 38 wins vacated, now Neuheisal’s allegations were different than Calipari, but the point remains, what happens to those that left, look at Calipari, he is now making tons of money at Kentucky because of his successful run at Memphis which was vacated anyway. There has to be some sort of probation for the coach involved as well, I mean with some of the football programs there are 20 different coaches, and it’s hard to keep track of everyone, but if there were penalties for the coaches as well, don’t you think they would know what their players were doing a little bit more??
So if I didn’t mention it before, I will mention it now, I’m a filmmaker, yes a filmmaker, though I don’t use film, I’ll stop there before I confuse you. The video you are about to see, was shot last quarter and is a mural project that is located in Berkeley, California. The project is being done by students from Berkeley City College under the True Colors program headed up by Juana Alicia, a muralist and teacher at Berkeley City College. Also included in sponsoring the students is the Earth Island Institute and their Streets Alive program headed up by Ariana Katovich. The mural was at the beginning stages of being done when the quarter was over, so I have continued going out to the site each week to document the progress so we can add that to the final film. The building itself where the mural is located is on 7th street in Berkeley, and is the Inkworks Press building. Inkworks is a print company that has printed numerous posters and ads, and what not for political, social, and environmental issues, and have been doing that since the late 60′s. So on the mural itself are those types of images, such as protests, peace rallies, printing presses, government versus the people, and activists as well. The team that worked on this project did two separate cuts, each one showing the process a little differently. There is also another other video and also a three week time lapse available at the Youtube link below. The final film should be done in about three weeks as they are just wrapping up the finishing touches an the mural, and will be taking down the scaffolding down and then we’ll get our last shot. Hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Also if your ever in Berkeley and by 7th street stop by, and see it in person then you’ll realize how much work actually went into this.
Sincerely,
Brett

Hey all,
I’m putting this post in to let you know that if you actually are reading my blog you will see an irregular pattern as well as content that seems to be mixed, I have not continued with my contest since being so discouraged after week 1′s contest and also realized that the economy has hindered my ability to put up money every Friday. So maybe in two days I will actually post my second contest and see how it goes. As far as content I figure that I will rant and rave about whatever comes to mind and plan on posting at least three times a week. I have a mixed life of likes and dislikes, and have been exposed to both fast and slow living, city and rural, big and small, black and white, and gray. Basically I have a wide range and hope that I can expose you to that viewpoint, well if you are reading this anyway.
Message from Brett
I have been not keeping to my last post and not updating my blog as regularly as I should have been doing, it’s just that sometimes I would rather do something else, or I am forced to do something else. I was told by my father the other day that if you can do it today why put it off until tom. and I realized with all that I’m doing, that I must have that be my code of conduct because it seems like the only way for me to get anything done is to just do it, and keep on the grind or pretty soon you’ll be covered in way to many things to do and No Time!! I just wish that I could stop time for one day and just catch up on everything that I need to get done, but that is totally impossible, unless you live in the movie world which I love to create for. I love movies and I love making movies and working on the set and seeing the end result and knowing that you worked pretty hard on it, but I also love being enveloped by movies that I watch and want to take others there as well. I was hugely influenced by movies when I was a kid, but not from a filmmakers perspective but a fan’s view I guess, now it all has changed and I find myself enjoying less and less of what I see today because of it. That’s basically because in film school you have to analyze everything within the film and there are things that other people don’t even notice, but then I know what not to do when hopefully one day I get to influence others with my films.
Type again someday!!
Hi,
I’m trying to start on online relationship with you and I post comments irregularly and have had crappy content, and my contest idea was a blowup failure which I am now deciding on doing a different way as you can see below from an example of an irregular post at a random point, anywho I’m trying to change and need your support, so please let me know what’s up and down if you like or dislike what I got to say and then we can find out the boundaries of our relationship and I will try and post content and other stuff on a regular basis.
Thank you for reading.
I’ve decided to make my contests best answer I like, and not just a question answer, due to everything being on the internet.
Look for it on Fridays.
